Screener is the best tool for selecting assets to trade

tools

It is good to have a strategy to trade, but it is also important to select the right asset at the right time. Resonance stores the price, time, and volume of each trade, aggregates them and visualizes them as a cluster chart. This visualization allows large amounts of data to be evaluated quickly.

But a single chart on a screen is not very fast, so we have combined several charts in the Screener tool.

Setting up the tool

At first glance, our Screener doesn’t look much different from other market screeners, but let’s go through it one by one.

The Screener interface is quite simple. There is a filter window at the top, a chart grid in the middle, and page navigation at the bottom.

In the filter window, you can select:

  • grid (the number and position of the graphs on the page)
  • ticker groups for analysis
  • exchange
  • ticker
  • volume
  • detailing
  • timeframe
  • a type of data to be analyzed (volume, quantity, delta)

Tips for effective use

The Screener allows you to quickly find an asset with an anomaly (number 1 on the chart) where you can make money. And by switching the chart type from volume to quantity or delta (number 2 on the chart), you can instantly assess the position of the asset from multiple angles.

Sometimes you need to find an asset and still have as much insight as possible into what is happening. We recommend using a 1x8 or 2x4 Grid for this purpose. Anomalies are easier to see in this larger picture of what is happening.

Do you need to narrow your search?

  1. Click on “Exchange” and select the exchange you are interested in.
  2. Specify the ticker. For example, /USDT will show all USDT pairs on the selected exchange.
  3. Select a timeframe in which you would like to start taking ideas. This will depend on your trading type: scalping, intraday, medium or long-term.

Screener is the first step in selecting assets. You can then move on to more in-depth analysis in RTT using the BAS, Speed Print, and other search engines.

What to look for in the Screener?

As we wrote earlier, the Screener is needed to look for anomalies.

An anomaly (https://resonanceholding.com/dictionary?id=anomaly) is something that differs from the overall market picture. In terms of an asset, it is an increase in volume, a preponderance of buyers or sellers, and the breaking of buy or sell limits.

In the Screener, we look for abnormal volume peaks in the clusters and histograms.

Hippo: working with limit orders

How is it possible to find a larger-than-usual limit among hundreds or thousands of pairs? It is physically impossible for a human to do that. That is why we have created an algorithm that makes it possible since it has "all the moves written down".

Speed Print – a tool for finding speed limits

The task of the Speed Print tool is to track the increase in the speed of market orders across all tapes and report who is currently above average. It monitors all pairs and reports when the average value of the number of orders is exceeded.
